A question asked by SE at least once a day...perhaps it is because I made Valentine's so memorable for him. Or because of all the treats he had! We started the day off right with hot chocolate and heart shaped strawberry marshmallows and red and white pancakes with hearts and X's and O's.
Somebody thought they were the best thing ever! And somebody's brother thought on this special day, she was the best thing ever!
We moved on to more heart shaped food for lunch because as my friend Kerri said "this heart cookie cutter is going to get a work out today"!
Earlier in the week we were discussing what to do for our spouses on heart day. A friend told me about something she had seen...the wife tied a bag of marshmallows on the door with a note explaining to her husband there was a marshmallow fight waiting to be waged upon entering the house. We thought Sean and SE would love it so I decided to put the plan into action.
We had a blast. SE and Fin really just ate the marshmallows, but Sean and I got some good hits on each other. Then we loaded up and went to SE's basketball game. Yes the little guy was on his first basketball team this year!
We ended the night with kisses and hugs all around. Sweet Finley knows she is a jewel to her daddy!
To my Valentine's:
My love, you are my favorite, my everything. You are the creamer in my coffee, the garlic butter to my pizza crust, the m&ms on my hot fudge sundae. I love you most. You truly are my gift from God.
Sean Edward, you are our gift from God. You are wanted and loved. You are valiant and brave and strong. You, my love, are a mighty man of God.
Finley Cohrs, you are a beautiful warrior. You are worthy and treasured. You are enough. Your heart matters. You are a strong and confident woman.
